It was the last point of the final game. Annual summer bocce game that take place in Belnome, Piacenza in north west Italy. A village with 50 people during the summer and none during the rest of the year.
There was really quite whole village there.
I do agree: with balls on the ground the shoot could be better but I preferred to focus on the wait of the people.

| Very nice black and white composition. One of the things I love about these kind of shots is that you can spend tons of times looking through the image for interesting side bars - such as the trio holding a conversation in the lower left, the older gentlemen hanging over the fence on the far right and the group of friends sitting on the bar behind the players. How about the little girl with her parents right on the side lines? Great detail and focus throughout. Really nice tones and contrasts. Wonderful image. And a different sport for this challenge. Curious if anyone else thinks it stands out as much as I do (I do lots of LF B&W). Hope you ribbon. |

| I doubt many here would realize this is a sports photo without the title... does not meet the challenge for me |

| I voted low on this shot because there isn't any action. Looks like a lot a waiting to me. Otherwise, I thought this was a pretty good picture. |
