Actually, there wasn't much wind that day :) This tree is bent out of shape because the wind almost always blows from the ocean, which is to the left in this picture. The road is the Great Highway, which runs along the Pacific shore west of San Francisco. This road gets closed during tsunami warnings. (I have yet to witness one.) But during good weather, I will surely return to the bike trail that goes along this road :)

@Bear_Music, actually this is just west of San Francisco. But I'm sure the coastline looks similar around the whole area :)

This has GOT to be just North of Monterey, near Fort Ord? Sure looks like it anyway :-)

The focus bothers me, I think it's the fact the grass closest to me seems the most out of focus... But, a great depliction of Wind!!

Wonderful flag trees. Very clear which way the wind blows and how hard it blows... because the trees have been shaped to the environmental conditions. Meets the challenge well. Great exposure. I might have found a place without the distractions of the stop lights and fence and main road. Otherwise, I like it.
