 I wanted to try to go with a more "photographic" approach with less photoshopped elements, as I frequently get comments about how my entries are "too artistic" and less photographic.

Well that didn't do so well for me, so I think I will continue the previous route. :)

This also wasn't my best effort. Jason had surprised me with tickets to a show in the city so I had much less time to finish this last week.

Onto the next one!

Deserved much better finish - I suspect the fact that you are in the pic and are easily recognizable may have hurt your score with some voters....

I also believe you deserved a much better finish than that. The sketch of your own entry was a great idea, and the overall image is very nice. I am sure you will get much recognition for it outside of DPC!
