Zowie. I wish I had taken this picture myself!

To a certain extent I agree with the comments about the shadow at the top. On the other hand, there is no guarantee that if you came back at another time you would have the perfect cloud in the perfect place. 8)

Later.. I suppose one way to lessen the impact of the shadow would be to get rid of the white portion surrounding the window frame altogether. To me the shadow is less noticeable on the green area and hardly noticeable at all on the glass/cloud portion of the picture.

I just don't think it's that big a deal. 8)

WOAH!!! Love the blues and greens. What really does it for me is the cloud reflection. This is outstanding!!!

I love this. The colors, the frames, the composition. It's just a magnificent still life. The only thing that seems to get to me is the blown highlights. Still a beautiful picture

i really like the natural framing of the window.. i would've waited for a different part of day so the whole window was lit. don't get me wrong, this is a great shot!

This is an excellent, refreshing photograph!

Would taking the photo earlier in the day have fully lit the window, rather than casting a shadow on the top part? If so, I would give it another shot as it would be slightly less distracting.

But please let my praise of this photo drown out the critique...very nice!

Edit: This is what I added in the thread about this photo...

Sorry, I have to come back to this.

I want to emphasize that if the shadow was removed and the texture was more apparent on the wall and frame, this would make a really great print!

If I were you (and if you had access to this location again), I think it would definitely be worth some extra work and another shoot to get this 'just right'. I love it and a photo like this has universal appeal!

Oh, and I think the green in the frame is perfect and I personally wouldn't change the hue at all...just my opinion.

Wonderful shot! If it were me, I'd have adjusted the hue on the greens a tad to make them a little more vibrant, but that's just personal taste. I would also have tried to wait for a different time of day to remove the shadow at the top, which is what I feel stops this photo from becoming excellent.
