 I imagined this as a study in form and motion, a cow slowly moving in the background of a dry plant. Everything about this is intentional, especially the crop (actually it's only straightened a bit from the original image). I'm glad it resonated well with some voters.

Btw this IS a dairy cow, they are not all like you see them on the chocolate ads. And if you cannot tell a cow from a bull from this angle, you might be in some serious danger out in the field :).

Finally - taken in a snowy field, but I liked this processing that makes it look like taken by Ammie in South Africa :).

I love how this image forces me to view, no head or hoofs to distract my attention, the important shapes.

What I liked about this was the mystery of it all. Then the plant that's in focus just kind of pulled me in.

I like the subject, but there are some things that could be improved upon: the head is cropped out, as are the feet. The cow (or is it a bull?) isn't in focus but rather the plant is. The color is really good, though - and a cool idea.

You won't get a drop of milk from this cow! I like the shot though and milk is associated with cows. Sweet crop and dry plants in the foreground really make this work.
