 I was messing around with the cellphone freestudy image back in july and ended up with something that looked like a cosmic scene with stars and nebulae, and i remember thinking that i wanted to enter something like that in the art of 2012. i used that original image for the challenge so i had to go with another one and try to recreate my find. i couldn't quite get it, but i like this. i'm hoping this resonates with the artistic side of people, though i don't expect it to score well; i can't have the challenge come up and not actually submit what i saw in my mind's eye last summer as nothing i have taken since has been as "artistic" to me.

It's a fine reference to Arthur Clarke and Space Odyssey. I like the image a lot and gave it a 6.

Copped a bit differently, this might have been more effective, and made your title more relevant.
