This image was taken at my cousin's first birthday. She took her first steps (in our presence) today, and everyone was taking turns leading her around. I was actually trying to get a picture of her with her father, but this is the best shot I got.

Photoshop edits include Desaturation, and Level Adjustment

very endearing and good choice for b/w with soft focus. Bumping up.

It's classic, but a good picture of the emotion and captured wonderfully in black and white

a bit too grainy and a sharper focus would help.

A little too grainy, but I kind of like that. It's a beautiful image, anyway.

you could use a little more sharpness to emphasize the subject.

Noise / grain too much - but right on topic

good catch. it does feel over-cropped to the point that grain and interpolation weaken the image. also the background seems a bit distracting. however, overall it is excellent!

I really loved this image, the grainy feel to it, makes me think of an older picture, something out of the family album, makes you think 'where were they when this picture was taken, what were they doing, where were they going?' Also I love how the little girls' hand is illuminated and almost white where she is holding her mother's, it looks almost glowing and more speical, like it was meant to be that way.
