(1) COMPOSITION (CONTENT) Normally an off center subject is better, but in this case it seems to work having the rose in the center of the frame.
(2) BACKGROUND I like the use of a shallow depth of field to soften the background which makes the rose really "pop" and stand out. There is just enough detail left in the background so that its obvious that it was taken outside.
(3) CAMERA WORK ,TECHNICAL Exposure is good. Composition good. I think that the rose bud behind the rose is a little distracting. I wonder if you could have moved your angle a bit to hide it more.
(4) DIGITAL PROCESSING ,TECHNICAL Very vivid and bright colors. I wonder how it might have looked if the photo was cropped into a square.
(5)MEETING THE CHALLENGE This photo does a very good job of meeting the challenge. I am sure this is a song we all have heard.
(6) MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO A very good flower picture. I especially like how crisp and sharp the pedals are. It looks almost as if you could touch them.

Nice Macro. I like the depth of field on this one. Great shot, though the rose bud is a bit distracting. Good job. Jacko 8 |

What a lovely photo! I love the way the background is softly blurred and so deliciously green. Very nice! |

The rose is beautiful. It needs to stand out just a little more from the background than it does. You cropped off a little on the top and left space on the bottom. Other than that I like the placement of it in the photo, the extra space on the sides. Good job just needs a little better execution. 7 PTL |

Its on its side, if it were righted, the bud would be pointing out of frame. |

I like the fact that this is not a studio shot, good focus on the rose. I think the rose bud behind which is also in focus detracts from the focus of the rose. The rest of the plant is out of focus enough to not draw attention. 7.
Take my comments for what they are worth for I am just a novice with a new camera. Dodo |
