 My roomate's 6 month old and I. I wanted to do something a little different for this challenge, and was knocking my head against the wall completely. I had wanted to stay away from the usual baby images that "touch" conjures up (soft things against hands, fingers, toes, bums..) and wanted to stay away from hands and fingers altogether. So I decided to go this route.. showing the touch of a "father's" whiskers against baby soft skin. A contrast of textures. I chose B&W because it simplified the image and helps the viewer focus on the touch of the whiskers to the skin.

Editing: Brightness/Contrast, Curves, sharpening, edge-preserving smooth at the lowest setting, blurring.

Very nice shot. I like the expression on his/her face.

The white on the left side seems to drag my eyes right to it. Seems to be a bit out of place.

MOre of the man's face would have been nice too. I had a hard time telling what it was. I had to study it. Sorry at least I am honest about that. :-)

Lovely simplicity and contrast of textures! Some of the highlights are a bit bright. The dirt on the nose is unfortunate, but had this been a member challenge I'm sure you would have cloned it out. What an expression on the baby! Nice capture!
