I really like this shot... not sure why. I love the subdued colors, for one thing. And something about just the shape of the bird intrigues me. :) Beautiful image! |

the very slight blur on the wings does not take away from the image and from the stopped action of flight and from the wonderful shot overall. love the background too! |

This is an interesting photo. I think the background is too dark which takes attention from the subject, and the focus is too soft for this challenge; however, I do like it. |

This is a nice shot, the colors and composition work well. There is some movement which I think you will lose votes on. |

Interesting capture. The wing tips look like they are glowing. 6 |

Not too happy with the near-centered composition. What might have worked better here is a slight crop from right, rotation by about 20 degrees CCW...so as to make the bird start from the left bottom corner and fly into the picture. |

I like the idea, but I'm guessing you'll get lots of comments about the wingtips being blurred. I do think it's a great shot, even though ALL the motion hasn't stopped, most of it has. 8 |

This shot has great aesthetics--I really like the color mix and the geometric mix. |

Beautiful bird caught at a great moment. I wish the background could have been lighter, but you can't control that and I am glad you didn't try to change it through software. |

Almost stopped action, but theres still some motion blur there. However I like the shot, a little better lighting would help. |

this is a unique take on "bird landing" as you've creatively captured the scene... your background is blurry enough not to detract (actually I like the repetition!) and the lighting on the bird is just right |

I like your depth of field, and the way the bird is lit up more than the background. |

I like the way the light catches the wing feathers and the cobblestone background adds interest. I wish the head was more present. The bird looks slightly decapitated. Not a "perfect" stop action as there is motion blur, but if it weren't in the challenge description it wouldn't bother me at all. Nice choice. Interesting shape. |

It's s cool shot...but there is some motion trail at the tip of the wings. |

Blurring on the wings tells me this is not stopped motion. It's a pity because the composition and color are wonderful. |
