| It's not typically what you think of as stopped motion unless you've seen a balloon race. :) The lighting here is excellent with a very well done gradient. The framing just makes the shot for me. 10 |

| Great colors and I love the composition. But hot air balloons are generally thought of as placidly floating, making them a poor subject for showing stopped motion. |

| I'm not sure it's a really good subject for the challenge (I mean, they aren't exactly speedy objects that have to be captured at a lightning fast shutter speed)... but this is an otherwise AWESOME shot! I love the colors! |

| I rated you higher than the other hot air balloon image because I really love the composition and the colors of yours. The problem for me with this image is that I know those balloons were moving, but not very fast and they're pretty far away from the photographer. That means you could have totally stopped them with a shutter speed of 1/16th of a second or less. To me, stopped motion would have been something that, even when stopped, infers motion - and it probably took 1/250th of a second or faster to accomplish. Just my opinion. Good luck with the challenge. |

| lovely!!!! Colours just splash from my screen here!! I like the see-through especially and the sharpness and brightness of the balloons! The right balloon being just that bit bigger than the left one, compensates for the centred composition keeping it from being boring. You've got yourself a 10! |

| Considering how slow hot air balloons rise I wouldn't consdier this to be a stop motion challenge. It's a very nice photo, however. Great use of negative space! |

apparently they aren't moving ;) Nice 'frame' with the two larger foreground elements. Maybe stronger cropped square, right at the top of the right balloon - but then you lose that great sky colour - tough call.

| those are pretty slow movers to be considered stopped motion....but there was not mention of speed...so good shot. |

| This is a really pretty picture and yes there is no motion blur... not sure there would be with air balloons anyway so I fail to see how this really fits the challenge in the grand scheme of things. |

| This image is verry beautiful, verry well framed, but I'm not sure for meeting the challenge. In a stopped motion challenge you kinda expect things that usualy move faster to be stopped. But again this is a wonderful picture. 9 |
