this was my 1st shot ever here at dpc...
i wasn't going to submit to this challenge for lack of an idea....
but when was playing my fiddle i looked down the strings and the image u see above is the jist of what i saw.

so i finnished up playing "limehouse blues" and got to shooting.

it was not till aft. the challenge started that i realized that from previous shooting of ([documenting the restoration of] 1 of our volkswagen beetles) carborators(&other parts) i had got some gas and greese under my 3rd fingernail.

what can 1 do i didn't see it at frist and so if it bothers any1 i'm sorry.
i work on cars alot so when i took the shot i just didn't seem to note the darkspot.

thanx for all the comments

nice dof, but clean your fingernail before playing.......I still liked it as one of the best "instrument" shots.

Good concept.
Great angle.
Although your Master has dirty fingernails and the entire image could be a bit sharper.

gr8 photo the dirt underneath the nail is a bit unnerving being a pedantic however this is one gr8 photo - love the angles

Great idea! The first that impress me. Tough the scenery is perfect, some light issues can improve it well. You may use a bit of backlight to made smooth light and enhace the overal image.

Look at the master's hand :) youk...

Good composition, but a bit grainy. Also, the dirt under the nail of the middle finger makes it a bit yucky.

Clean your fingernails dude!!

great point of view. I like the angle of the bow in the shot too. focus is too soft for my taste, though and the whites are pretty overexposed.

Interesting perspective. The grain lends a film-like texture. I like the composition and attitude of the picture. One quibble, that dirty fingernail really takes away from an otherwise nice image.

A little too grainey, did you use Neat Image?

I know this will sound like a nitpick, but the fingernail should have been clean. Other than that, I like the photo and it meets the challenge

Good title but imo the viewpoint could be better.

Good composition and idea. The fingers are overexposed like the arch string.

Not a master of hygeine! Ha, just kidding, but the dirty niail is distracting. Otherwise, I like this one.

I think it's great hoe you use the blurry bow in front and the sharp fingers in back.
