 This isn't really hair gel, it's actually Solarcaine, a burn relief lotion. But it looks exactly like gel and well, "Solarcaine Break" just doesn't have the same ring to it :)

When I first learned of this challenge I knew I wanted to do stopped motion of a liquid substance. Tried a few different things, including nail polish, but wasn't happy with the results. I liked the "drop" this lotion created.

Editing:
-spot editing on the drop to clean things up a bit
-levels to brighten
-USM

All of the drips we've seen around here and this is one of the best. Sometimes you see a shot and say to yourself, Gee, why didn't I think of that? Great job and great shot.

Focus is wonderful, but I'm not crazy about the red background. Love your cropping and the gap between the upper and lower halves.

Neat Image gets a bad press for its overuse, but sometimes, you need to use it.

Neat everything, color reflection, break in stream. I really like how the gel is caught at the spout. Did you capture it hitting? -8-

Unusual and good shot. If it were my shot i would have run it through neat image to smooth out the background noise.

This seems to have a lot of jpg artifact on the background. probably through over use of the healing tool am I right? There is also a shadow on the background in the reflection but none on the shot that also makes me think that. Now I could be wrong but I'm not convinced that the connecting line from the drop to the tube was broken but was cloned out. This could have benifitted from neat image being used to soften the background. In all a good shot.

Nice moment of capture. Interesting subject and composition. The noise on the red background detracts, but not horribly. Might want to see more of the bottle or none of it at all...
