There are many things that could be done to improve this. This image is over-exposed losing all important detail--it seems that post-processing could have altered that. It's also grainy, since it was shot in the shade I suspect the ISO was a bit too high. Compositionally, the background is distracting, the parked cars demand too much attention. The object that is truly "stopped" is the basketball, and though the boy's attention is on it (and therefore the viewer's attention) we can't see all of it. Finally, the context feels a bit off too, why is he dribbling on the grass lawn? A worthy subject, hope you take critique well and try again. |

Lokks a bit faded and over exposed. The composition is good. |

When the challenge is over, ask in the forums about this. You'll get a lot of help. |

The idea was sound - the model good. Consider these improvements: a) The entire ball in the frame would work better. b) The very white and busy background is terrible c) The entire image is over exposed at least a full stop. |

seems very dull - was this taken through a window? |

Ok, you stopped the motion. That's good. Now you have to work on getting focus or correcting whatever gave you all the grain. In addition, if you were slightly higher and aimed down, you could eliminate the intrusive background subjects which detract from the overall image. That's just my opinion. Good luck with the challenge. |

Very fuzzy & grainy photo. Either the Iso value was set too high, or you need a new camera. |

This image seems very washed out as if it has a film over it. I think if you tweeked the contrast it would help make the colours and edges crisper. Looks like you tried to flatten the overexposed area but the whole photo suffered unfortunatly. |

Download Neat Image to get rid of the grain

However you will need to work on fixing the problem you have with overexposure. |

Nice model and good moment. But the image seems overexposed, the colorsaturation is poor and seems to contain a lot of noise. |

The quality of this pic is questionable, it looks as though your image was too dark and you have adjusted the brightness and contrast. It would have helped a lot of you would have also adjusted the levels (increased the shadows) to compensate. |

This feels overexposed to me. A bit of photoshop work would improve brightness and conrast. |

the idea was not to have motion blur......not much motion, grain is awful and the ball,. wich is supposed to be what gives us the stopped motion feel...is out of the shot. |

The colors seem a little washed out to me...perhaps too much brighteness. |

What happened to the colours? It's all washed out. And the ball is cut. |

to much noise, hazy.. what ISO speed were you taking these shots at ? try lower ISO and larger aperture.. larger aperture for shallow depth of field and faster shutter to capture stop the motion |

next time, find a different background, go vertical and try and catch the ground and entire ball in the pic...also I don't know what your camera was set on but the whoe thing looks a couple stops overexposed. |
