i think this is a fantastic shot as well. it doesn't look like a cheat to me. you did great work on this one, i think it should've placed higher as well.

I agree with ericlimon, I totally expected a top 10, or a top 20 at the very least.. I gave you a 9, and still think this is a *great* shot. Full of creativity! Excellent work.

you may have 'cheated' on this one? by overlapping layers

but either way, i would have scored this in the top 20 or so.

The playing pieces are a little out of focus. Good action stop, good colors.

this is so perfect, I don't know what to say! I cant see how this won't place top 3 if not #1
Great job, tell us how it was done!

I personally would liked to have seen all the pieces in focus. Lots of work the set that up!

Exceptional photograph! I am impressed by the originality, composition, degree of difficulty, and end result! I would expect a ribbon on this one. Great work!

WOW - Great "stopped" motion, Great idea - it looks like the pieces are suspended or superimposed (i know they're not) Great shot!

I love this shot. It is hands down one of my favorites this week. Only thing I might like to see is a black background to give a little more definition to the game. But I'm not sure that would change anything.

Excellent! 10

hehe... good idea! I had this game when I was a kid as well.
You captured it just at the right moment, and at a good point of view.

Hiow did you get all the pieces to fly in the air with shadows at different angles and without casting any shadows on the game below??? oh...that's right...it's fake.

Clever and different idea. Reminds me of Die Hard 2 with the from-above shot of Bruce Willis ejecting from the exploding plane. Didn't you have any C-4 to use on the game? Good colorand lighting. Perfect use of DOF as well.

I jump everytime I look at this...great pic

Cool idea. The lighting and DOF gives a 3D effect which make the pieces jump off of the page.

The board is a bit out of the DOF which might have strengthened this a bit. That said, this is a clever idea where the color scheme really works.

Yeah, I had to think for a moment, but now I get it (I hope)
Game is the background, then a few cm higher is a glass plate with the yelow pieces on it.. Am I right?
Looks real! Just a bit oversharpened? 8

I like this shot. Good use of primary colors and framing. I think a deeper depth of field would work here though, as it is difficult to pick out a single in-focus yellow piece to lock onto.
