Of course it's impossible to photograph emotion--it doesn't reflect light. So there are 2 choices. Make a documentary photograph of someone obviously experiencing emotion. Make a photograph that evokes emotion in the person who views it. Or try for both. The person viewing the photograph may say "This does nothing for me. No emotion here," evoking the emotion of disappointment in the photographer. And so it goes.

again, to me this is an entry that is trying to impress a given emotion based on a title with a random image, not actually capturing emotion in the entry which is what the challenge said

I don't find the extreme contrast across the frame drawing my interest.... anywhere.
