While taking pictures for the Stopped Motion II challenge I got bit by a (or some) fire ant(s). I didn't think much of it at the time, except that it hurt initially. But the pain subsided quickly enough. The next morning when I put my shoes on, I noticed a swelling in my foot. When I got home from work and took my shoes and socks off, I noticed the blisters and the swelling of my entire foot seemed worse. I looked it up on the web, and it pretty much said I had nothing to worry about as long as I wasn't allergic, which I guess I'm not (would be kind of like what someone who is allergic to bees might suffer, shortness of breath and stuff). This is what they said would happen. It could last 2 to 8 days!

When I took the pictures I wasn't even thinking about submitting them to this challenge, I'm just a weirdo taking pictures of his ant bite blisters. I had been having trouble coming up with a good idea for the challenge, so I had nothing yet. And it just hit me, that this might fit, because I'm sure some of you are "feeling" the pain and itchiness along with me.

I'm expecting a low score due to the gross factor, and it's probably not a technically good photo, and some may not think it fits the challenge, and maybe it doesn't, I don't know. But I'm curious to see the reaction. Could go either way really, now that I think about it.

No editing was done except for making the file size fit the rules of submission.

This is a gruesome photo. Do you really think that it'll do well in a challenge?

This image is gross and distasteful. It's a pity some idiots like you take the beauty out of photography by submitting such trash.

This "meets hth challenge", but is not something I enjoy viewing, nor is it technically excellent. You did get a good DOF in my opinion.

Ouch. As for the challenge, not sure how it really meets the challenge and the lighting is dull and the composition is lacking. The background is very distracting to me. A 2
