Nice, kinda interesting wall, but the song is sooo much more than stones. To me, this needs something more, an angry, bitter Mom or a little scared child, something along that line to complete the connection to the song. Sorry, but I don't care for the background. I'm sure you couldn't do much with that, but it distracts without adding value. I do sort of like the vine creaping up the wall, even though it has nothing to do with the song, well maybe......
Sorry, but upon further review, I'm dropping the score slightly on this one. From 7 to 6. Swash
Looks like snow behind the wall. I like the vines growing on the wall. Courios as to where this wall is and why it's broken down, if it is. This may sound funny, but it is a beautiful wall. The stones are such beautiful color, so smooth, and make a nice pattern. Women notice things like that. Looks tall, or just the angel. I really like the photo and technically it is good: subject, focus, croping, light, clarity, etc. All good. Not a 10, because it's lacking "Wow" or "Pizazz" but you knew that. But it is an 8. PTL
The shot is was very well taken in focus and sure fits the title, but it just doesn't do too much for me. I guess I just don't like looking at a picture of a bunch of stones. 6.
Take my comments for what they are worth for I am just a novice with a new camera. Dodo
would've preferred to see where the wall meets the ground, the way the lines intersect where the ivy starts climbing. though you'd've lost the top ridge maybe. more opressive looking without the sky though, might've matched the song more.
