Thanks everyone for the comments... I'm really new here and honestly I didn't go out and shoot for this challenge, but I had this photo from the right dates and I figured it made sense! Also, the quality of the photo ain't so hot, and I knows it... next time I'll pay more attention heheh. Thanks again to all who commented, and sorry down there that you had bad thoughts about this picture and title... all I saw was love. Cheers, Katy. |

You deserved a much higher rating with this pic, for it it was one of the best in the challenge, certainly no other pic conveyed so much emotion |

I like, but maybe a little more in focus would have worked better |

I don't understand the title on this one. Who will understand and what will they understand? Please explain because what is going through my mind is not a good thing but that's because I'm a survivor of abuse and the pose of this shot with the title just strikes me wrong. Not a bad shot overall but this is a classic case where the title can hurt you.
Edit: After receiving your explanation about the title, it makes sense and I can see the overall picture now. But as I said before, without your explanation it can be very open to interpitation. It's a nice shot overall, the focus is lacking just a bit but good contrast and overall composition. A 7 |

Nope, she'll never understand that Yankees' hat!
But, I bet she understands Dad's desire to protect her. Nice shot. Could be a little sharper maybe, but that is personal taste, not a real criticism. |

umm it's needs to be in focus.... if your going for some type of blur feeling it doesn't work for me here... also it would be better with more facr showing to add some emotion |
