 I had no thought of entering this challenge, actually. I had no idea where there is any "interesting" fountain on Cape Cod, and no interest in shooting a stainless steel or porcelain drinking fountain.

However, I was looking through my drawer for something and my Waterman fountain pen popped up and the lightbulb, so to speak, came on.

So here it is, hand-held against the screen door and shot one-handed with the image-stabilized, 100mm macro. The idea was to make it look monumental. The fading DOF is intentional. I made a cursory attempt at cleaning the accumulation at the base of the nib but that was going nowhere fast so I gave it up.

Such fun! Go ahead and hammer on me, voters! Jejeje...

I was hoping for a top ten here. This is far better than most of the photos that scored higher.
