 Pretty much as it looks. A broken piece of molding, a wood clamp, and my black background wrapped around in weird ways to hide my ugly basement floor.

Photoshop was Sharpening, Levels, Cropping, USM, and image size.

Oh, three flashes (but one was just an IR trigger.)

Technically well done, but it doesn't grab my interest - and missed the whole point of the challenge.

Even though hands *are* closely tied to touch, I think this picture would be better without it. I for one would still get the feeling of the splintered wood.

I think I would have liked it better without the hand - it distracts from the rough edges of the wood. But it's a great shot!
