I have no grand scheme of things when it comes to photography, except to see what happens. As such, I am not inclined to set up any shot, but rather just take it with the basics in mind, do a bit of processing and submit it.
This particular image was taken at night, I walked through the house, saw the flowers and thought it may make a good image. I took my camera, not bothering with the tripod, and took a couple of shots. I do not like using the flash, as one loses so much of the ambiance. In the end the ISO got bumped up quite a bit, as it is quite dark in the room. Some duplicate layers later, to make the subjects more visible, the grain came out like this. I liked the old feel, and it suited the decor, so I decided not to take the noise away, but go with it. I then just added a bit of Blur as well.
It's like some of you said, probably not one that will be chosen for a real-life house advertisement.
I know for success at DPC one has to work on presenting clear, precise, clean images, but I am not so much concerned in getting better results, but rather in getting interesting comments.
So thank you all commenters.

Well said, and I think I understand. It appears by the comments alot of people appreciated the grain. Well keep up the good work, and hopefully I'll be seeing ya around.
I was checking out this challenge, and I came upon this photo. The challenge, IMO, was not that great, and the photos submitted the same, but I like this one. I like it, but I'm confused with where you was headed with the grainy approach. It would appear to me that you could of had a really fair shot at winning this thing if you just stuck to the basic principles. I've over thought many of my photos, actually I'm really bad about it, but I was wondering if you had time to let me in on where you was headed with your vision. Again I love it, I would of still given you a solid score if I would of voted. Great job.
