I don't think this Hummer girl likes me. I get off 1, maybe 2 shots and she's OUTTA' there! I have said I enjoy the challenge of shooting birds in flight, right? She must have heard me. At least she's coming to visit every day now so I get multiple chances to practice.
Played with a bunch of compositions. In honor of her hasty exits, I chose this one.

| The generous space and well-judged placement of the bird just off the thirds intersection gives it a sense of instability and movement that I find critical to the success of this shot. bump |
