 Gorgeous "Indian Corn" on display at the local farmer's market. Used mainly for decorative purposes these days, but it is totally natural (not created with food dyes) and edible -- usually ground into corn meal or flour.

I also took a shot of some maize, but decided to enter something else. From the look of your finish I should have entered the corn!

When I was a kid I took some and planted it and grew quite a bit -- this kind gets 6-8 feet high; most of the ears would come out multicolored, but a few would be a beautiful solid red or purple. One or two ears is enough to sow a sizable plot.

Lovely colours but composition seems weak to me. The lovely leaves at the top of the corn cobs seem too harshly cropped and yet there is too much of a gap at the right that could be cropped out.
