 This is definitely a male and a female.
I wanted to represent the two genders but of the same soul.

It is a combination of both. The two models were laying on a cold winter morning, on a concrete ground in the shade. The ground was covered with a tarp, then a very large backdrop. The backdrop was pulled in towards the centre to create a crater. 10 meters of hessian was then used to over the crater wall to add depth to the nest and provide a background texture throughout the backdrop. Bags and bags of coconut fibre and wet bark was then layed around and inside the nest. The two models then layed into position whilst I placed more hessian, coconut fibre and wet bark over and around them. I stood on top of a ladder and took the shots. As they showered to get the itchy dust and fibres off them I then made another nest out of the same fibres and added twigs into the weave.

I then merged the two images and added dirt and bark overlays to create the ground surface over the backdrop.

It is just beautiful -- I love how it all blends. The models are wonderful, but I just love looking at the tones and the nest.
