 When I saw this challenge I knew one of my rats, my black male Magnus, had to be model for the shot lol.

I setup my material black backdrop and ran the train of it over a box for Magnus to stand on. setup a remote off camera flashgun to shoot from to the left of me pointing at Magnus from an angle through a white umbrella for more light on one side of him and took around 20 shots til i got the one I was happy with. He done so well and obviously earned a treat lol.

However this does I am happy with it :)

Editing:- Edited in Paintshop pro X5. I cropped the shot a little, denoised a little using topaz denoize 5, adjusted brightness and contrast using levels, cloned out a few specs and a couple of less prominent stray whiskers. sharpened using unsharp mask and resized for challenge.

Oh yes :-) Is this from the purplegirl family???? Just adorable. Thank you for not converting to b/w, and keeping the pink toes, pink. Perfect for the challenge. Great light, and those whiskers are melting my heart.
