| Sounds tasty, it is a combination I have never had, so it is new enough to qualify for the challenge theme. Exposure and focus is fine. But the image fails to touch me in any way purely because of its composition. The main subject is the salmon, yet I am looking at it from such an awkward angle that it almost feels it is in the way. A bit more distance could have imrpoved it, but better stil, a rearrangement of the salmon so one could see the total head, plus the tasty piece with mandarin next to it. Also you have the grapes and pepper and part of the kitchen in the background plus something on the bottom right, which distracts, does not add anything to the image. A re-arrangement on a nice dish, a slightly different angle of view, no other disturbing elements, would have made it much better. You still want to make it look TASTY and that is missing for me. |
