This is a wonderful photograph portraying a real story! It's something that touches me, because I think we have all been there at one time or another in our lives. It tells of sadness, a yearning. It makes the viewer wonder, did they divorce? Was there an affair? Is the loved one passed away?
A touching photo.
Great use of DOF. The lighting, being somewhat dimmer, works well with the overall feeling portrayed.
Wonderfully done. One of my favorites in the challenge.

Remindend me a song by a Mexican Rock Band called Mana (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man%C3%A1) about a woman that lost her love to the sea and would go wait for him every day (//lyricstranslate.com/en/wharf-san-blas-wharf-san-blas.html).
