 Standing stones and stone circles are part of the mysterious past of the Scottish Highlands. You can find them on different locations. It is believed these stones were part of religious and/or burial rituals, but yet their purpose and function are unknown.

The history of this stone however, the Duirinish Stone, is well known. The stone was erected by the Duirinish community to celebrate the Millennium. It was raised using traditional methods and underneath a time-capsule is buried.
