 It seems that these cut roses "aged" quite differently than roses growing in a garden do!

I completely agree with Cory's comment below but I didn't come to that realization until after I had finished voting & commenting on the other entries and looked at mine again! Then it just hit me.. A good learning experience and thanks for affirming it with your comment, Cory.

It was the deep black. That's what kept me from loving it.

The grain in the roses was lovely though.
