Composition-Content
This is a lovely winter scene, the way that the canopy of trees leads you into the picture is great. The angle that this has been shot from is good, with foreground, middle and background interest. I think that cropping out the grey building would have enhanced the composition a lot, and provided better balance in colours and also given more impact to the red building. Cropping until the edge of the second tree on the left would have been good, IMO.
Background
The background (minus the grey building!) really sets of this picture, with the path of trees naturally leading you into thebackground, nice and easy!
Technical
Focus seems a tiny bit aoft on the bench in the foreground, I wonder if deeper DOF would have worked here. I think that you have done a pretty good job of capturing the true colour of snow, someone mentioned that it looked a little pink. To get snow pure white, you should do exposure bracketing, if your camera has it! +2EV for sunlit snow and +1.5EV for overcast snow, plus or minus to achieve the correct results. I tried this recently and was quite happy with the results.
My Opinion
I think that this is a very pleasing picture, a lovely quiet view of city life. I think that probably some of the voters didn't see this as a strict landscape, perhaps costing you a few votes. But, Congrats on a lovely picture and Good Luck in the next challenge. |

I think I would have put this bench in the middle and then had the trees draw you in to the red building. |

Nice framing job and color. I wish that car wasn't there though. |

the contrast between the snow..black trees, and red building makes for a very dramatic composition...Only suggestion for me would be cropping out the grey building..it is a distraction for me...leaving the left tree in the photo of course. Good luck. |

The snow covered tree branches are great. The red building is a nice shot of color for the pic. I don't really see this as too much of a landscape, but I do like the shot. Good luck - Inspzil |

What a lovely photograph, reminds me terribly of London. This must be the most snow it's had in years. I enjoy the way the trees seem to pull you to the back of the picture with the way they hang over the path you chose. I think it's a bit crooked.. maybe if you'd had cropped out the first seat? I'm not sure how I would improve on this photo. -Annida |

Nice, I Love the overhanging trees and the red building. It is a bit tilted(scroll to the fence or the bench)and could be cropped a bit on the left to center the bench. |

Pretty cool. Looks almost like a room with that covering from the trees. Except the focus seems a little "off" for some reason. Maybe not, it's hard to tell. 8. |

The canopy of branches makes this an interesting composition. The snow looks pink to me, overexposed, and not in focus. If your camera has an exposure compensation feature, you might want to try experimenting with that in conjunction with the aperture setting and shutter speed. Snow is very challenging to capture it just right. |
