Thanks for the comments in your critique of my photograph,most helpful.
I knew that it was stretching the challenge parameters just a wee bit!!!
You were spot on with the time of day,it was sunset!!!
I have taken this shot on numerous occassions and in varying light conditions and in mop it looks better in sunset.
Yeh I agree that the levels could have been a tad higher!
I,m afraid to disappoint you but no I do not live on a houseboat and have to walk at least 3/4 mile.

I'm excited to critique this interesting photo. I have few comments or suggestions to add here.
Is this a landscape?.....well, no it's not. I'm personally not a stickler for keeping exactly on the challenge. I do like people to be close to the 'challenge' idea. Here I'm hoping that you live on a houseboat and that this is YOUR landscape. ;)!
Composition-Perfect, good perspective of the dock and boat.
Background-Sunset....would be my guess, but it could be sunrise also.
Digital Processing-Wonderful DOF
My Opinion-I hope you can tell by my earlier comment and this one that I like this shot very much and really wish there was a boat dock close by. I do love the light in this shot but would of liked the levels turned up just a bit. It was almost _too_ dark to take this shot. The goldish/pink reflection on the boats is wonderful along with the sky.
Thanks for letting me voice my opinion of your photo. Hope you print and frame this one. It's a keeper.

| Its a greta photo. But its not a landscape, and the idea is for every to compete equal in the same genre. Playing with the title is cute, but doesn't change what it is. |

| Neat photo, but (sorry) slightly off the challenge idea. Nice sunset in the background. I think the mast coming out of the line of boats seems like an unfortunate placement (it just looks wrong to have mast coming out of a dingy's nose). A strange idea: get closer to a boat and get the sunset reflection in it's side... maybe too strange. Sorry, 5 Swash |

| I don't see this as a landscape. I do like the perspective of this pic. You could've used a few less clouds though so that the colors of the boats was stronger. Too bad we can't dictate the weather. I'm sure it'd improve most of my shots - Inspzil |

| Now this is a great picture regarding the subject (haven't seen boots alligned that was before), the color (boats and sky) and the angle of view (you might have cropped it tighter on the right though). However, the picture comes short in my opinion regarding the challenge topic: therefor you were too close to the boats and the open-feeling is missing. |

| Nicely done. I love how the hulls draw the eye down through the picture, then the mast draws your eyes upwards to the pretty sky. Well done. 8. |

| I like this, it is different. I am already sick of trees. Though I know it is not a classical landscape I give it a 8. The color differential along with the with the sunset make for a colorful and interesting shot. |

| I really like this photo. Beautiful sky, great job of cropping, great colors, clear. Unfortunately, not my idea of a landscape. Still can't go lower than a 4 for a great photo. |
