Composition-Content
Firstly, I like your idea for this picture, you made a good point. However, when I look at this picture, I see space! Where I live, in Japan, there is nothing but buildings, they have about 5cm between each building, literally! So, space is all relative. I would hate to see this happen in other beautiful parts of the world. You have made a great picture in this respect, as it makes you think and acts as a springboard for discussion. As far as composition goes, people have mentioned that there is no clear focal point, I think that you might have been able to use the road leading into the picture as opposed to horizontally, however it is hard to say this without seeing the view behind.
Technical
Use of panoramic was a good choice, it looks like you used a wide lense which has added a slight curve to the horizon. Colours seem a little soft here, I wonder if you could have boosted them a bit more.
My Opinion
The best thing about this picture is that you have made a statement, one of the most important parts of photography IMO. Good Luck in the next challenge. |

The picture looks too busy. Would like to see less buildings, more nature. However, I like your use of a panoramic crop. Jacko. |

You have a 'landscape' photo here for sure, but there isn't much of a subject or particular single element here that makes this photo interesting. A great landscape shot needs to have some element or group of elements that attracts the viewer :) - setzler |

I like the idea of this picture, there's just no motion in it. Perhaps if you had taken the picture in more of a motion, like following the road, to give the eye direction? I really like the background more, and the foreground less. -Annida |

I like the title. That is what we I ran into everywhere I saw a good shot....houses. This is a good idea, though I may have taken it in a slightly different angle. Let the road lead your focus off to the development of houses, right now it looks flat not a lot of depth. 7. |

Sad, but true your title can be said of so many once beautiful landscapes that are now covered with buildings and as your photo shows the trees have been cleared away. |

i love your title...... you make the point of pervasive urban sprawl. I like the feeling I get..... that you have seen this meadow before there were houses here, and that this picture is a document of your (dissapointed?) revisit. I enjoy your picture for that. Your composition is good using a classical landscape frame for this image. |

Strange, is this a new housing development? Why do this houses have circus-colored roofs? |
