 this shot wasn't really wacky, but it was ok for the challenge when i added the name, so i wen't with it.

i was trying to not miss a challenge and it was the best i could do.

i took it at 11:51pm just before the pg. was updated i was able to submitt.

This photo really isn't of a very wacky food, but, I gave you a 7. The grain and high contrast really add to the photo, and composistion is perfect.

So yeah, awsesome photo. If the challenge was just food, I'd probably give it a 9 or a 10. Best of luck in the future.

I really like the grain and the B/W - good DOF.

The light is a little harsh leaving the front of the onion (it is an onion right?) lost in the shadow. A little more light in front for definition would have appealed to me.

This doesn't say wacky too me as much as some of the other pictures. The grain of the picture is distracting to the overall composition, in my opinion.

This is an elegantly simple photo. Well composed. Desaturation worked well. It's a little grainy but I can stand it. Among my favorites this challenge.

Nothing wacky for moust of the world i guess :) but still nice picture.

Nice...but it is maybe the most common food in this planet after salt and water :)

Good idea, with potential, but you need to take the time to reshoot this one... Be careful to compensate for the highlight, then you can dodge out the shadows if you need to, once the highlights are blown out, there is little that you can do. Also, check your film speed, as this came out awfully grainy... Might want to try shooting this at asa 100 and uping the shutter speed...

I like this in b&w. Maybe the onion in a little sharper focus. Great title! Fits the challenge.

Love the lighting. Composition is great. Exposure is right on. Wish you'd chosen a little more depth-enhancing aperture, but THIS is the nicest of the monochrome entries!

I like the greyscale and I think the grain adds to the picture however I see an awful lot of onions pretty regularly.
