I'm voting without comparing to the original
I like this a lot. The geometric patterns appeal to me, but then so does the emotion - struggling to break in (or out). |

Voted earlier coming back to comment.
One of my favorite Mark Twain short stories...but I digress. Love the eerieness that this captures. I originally did not like that most of the body is not there. The fact that the figure seems to emerge from the hard edge of the window partitions makes me think it is emerging from nothingness and into being. Or....or...another way to look at it, this mysterious stranger at the door is trying to 'hold' on to reality. Grip the walls of solid matter as it struggles to not vanish into the light and into nothingness. |
