 I took a lot of shots of tulips and wanted to use one of them but the best ones were orangey and altering their huse to make them more pink somehow spoilt their radiance. Trawling through all the possibilities, I decided to work on this one, and actually liked the result better than what I had achieved with the tulips.

Slight crop - the aspect ratio was already square
Duplicate layer
Topaz Detail
Cut pixels in a couple of areas where I didn't want accentuated detail
Cloned out a white hot spot
Burned a couple of highlight areas
Border
Image size, sfw.
Went back in and added some neat image noise reduction - the difference is barely perceptible but maybe a marginal improvement.

Love the textured 'brush stroke' lines that I can see in the petals. Seen these flowers and they are very unique in how the petals bend back. I think it would show off the unique nature of this flower more if it was taken at a lower angle rather than overhead looking down. Also the photo could do with just a touch more contrast between the light and dark areas which level and curves adjustment will take care of.
