This is a busy photo, but all the detail merges in a pleasant way to create a feeling of texture, with just enough features standing out to provide focus. A bit like a Jackson Pollock painting.

A good idea, and quite a busy photo! I don't quite know where to start looking at it :) My eyes are constantly drawn to the right hand side of the photo where there seems to be some structure with the tree covered in snow. I think it may have worked a bit better if you were further back though :) Still a lovely photo! -Annida

Too much stuff. Landscape shots should show a little more land. Several square miles or acres shown with unique stuff scattered about. This is a little more like 100-200 square feet with a ton of branches and stuff. It's so close you can't see very much sky. Sorry! - Inspzil

It is unfortunately not much more than a winter place from where I'm sitting - I'd like something to catch my interest, or at least produce some recognizable effect on me, and this does neither.

Nice texture/detail on the trees. The snow looks a little over-exposed (it takes a lot of practice to capture correctly). I like the suggestion of a little path into the brush, just off center to the left.

I wish this had a bit more of a focal point in it. Maybe if you had moved right and highlighted that nice evergreen? It's a bit busy for me, although I still find it pleasing.

This is interesting--but--it might have been more interesting if you found an angle that would have shown the snowy brush leading into an opening or the edge of the woods turning to a lower shrubbed area in the distance.

Stronger graphic element needed....too busy and not cohesive...what is your principal subject?
