Hi Carey
FIRST IMPRESSION:
Nice...a bit dark :|
COMPOSITION:
It seems a bit too 'split in half'. I think that if you got more of the sky it would have looked better. I'm also not too crazy about the tree being right in the center. :(
TECHNICAL:
I guess because of the sky being so bright, the foreground turned out a bit dark. Playing with the levels might have helped a bit. Focus seems pretty good, as does the aperture selection. :|
ARTISTIC:
This is where your photo stands out. I think the colours are really nice, and the contrast between the sky blue and the red/orange tones of the barn and trees really work nice. :)
OVERALL:
I good idea that suffered a bit cause of the lighting.

| Nice compostition here. IMO it might have been a little better waiting for the light to be in the right place to throw that beautiful sunset on everything in the frame. Again, only my opinion. |

| I'm trying to figure out what is obstructing our view of the wonderfull tree. Is it just light from a sunset/sunrise? I find the cow interesting but the barn distracting. I'd really like to see more of the tree. |

| Nice omposition, though I think the lighting is a bit lacking in this one. There is a large portion in the trees where it's just 'muddy' looking. I think if you had emphasized the cow, tree and barn by taking the shot from a little to the right and a bit higher (to avoid the grass hiding the cow) it might have been more effective. Still, not bad. |

There's quite a bit about this I like and a little that I don't. The feathery clouds and sky, very nice. I like the tree that seems to be the centerpiece of this shot, but the lower parts are a bit lost in it's background. The cows in the corner, very cool, which makes the red bard connected into this, so it gets a cool too. The telephone pole, well, they're everywhere, what can you do. Finally the ground, the far snow is really neat, too bad the sun had melted the area in the foreground making it look mottled, but I'm not asking you to take a snow blower to the scene, that's silly. It's just the best I could do to descibe why I am as wishy washy about this shot as I am. I like it and I don't.....If you would have gone closer to the tree for a nice tree branches shot, it wouldn't be as much of a landscape. I really do like the cows in the corner. Color seems really nice, lighting...well that goes partly back to the trees in the background. 7 Swash

| I take it this was taken close to sunset? The sky in this photo is very nice. Perhaps if you took the photo a little earlier there may have been more light on the subject. It is a little too dark and to me the trees in the back have lost some detail due to that. I would interested in seeing this one at a different time of day. |

| Nice and charming location but none of the interesting subjects actually stand out in this picture (the cow, the rock(?), the tree or the barn). having one of these graphically featured would save the image. |

| This photo seems more drab than it should be. I think that you might have improved the composition some by focusing more on the tree/barn/cow triad. The left side of the shot isn't all that great and the tree is very centered. Might be able to adjust the black level some to help the colors. The dark border doesn't help bring out the nice colors of the sky and barn. |

| The scenery, especially the center tree is great. Like the cow too. Could be brighter though |
