Oh my. This is a wonderfully powerful image - such strength and character. The sunlight off the mane is gorgeous.

This is a great shot. The only thing I can see wrong is that the focus is the slightest bit soft. Maybe you needed to get a bit closer. Just kidding. Good job.

The scar on his nose and the expression really give this chaaracter. THe lighting is perfectly timed to be on the side. Very well done.

The backlighting makes this image. It is just right - not blown away and still allows great exposure on the face.

Nice portrait... not steriotyped in any way. The day apears done and boy does he look bushed! The image tells a good story there. The technical aspects are all there from light to dark... depth of field and focus on the eyes. Great work and congrats!

A really nice photograph. I like the lighting, the color. Great composition. I think the softer focus of the lion works on this one. Well done!

Excellent shot. Solid technically with excellent composition. I even like the gradient as it really pulls you into the lions eyes. You should do well with this one.

What a face! This guy shows a lot of character, which is the one thing that makes images like this stand out. The composition is excellent and makes great use of the golden light. The side lighting put some of the majesty back into his straggly-looking face. Exposure looks good, it's sharp where appropriate, nice clear eyes, and has good texture in his fur. Excellent shot!
