you do create a sense of negative space by allowing the fishing pole to go all the way to the edge of the water.

Nice silhouette and composition.

Good use of the silhouette to set the fisherman apart from the rest of the scene.

Details: Use the surrounding space of your subject to create the wow of the photograph.

Not bad, but it doesn't wow me.
