Critique Club Review:
Color Saturation and Hue: Colors and hues are somewhat muted in this treatment, but it fits well.
Brightness and Contrast: The image is a bit on the contrasty side, but still not out of line for the overall look. What may have affected your score, is the large patch of featureless white in the bird's body and the head of the dog.
Focus and depth of field: Focus is soft, but it appears to be a purposeful effect, as opposed to photographer error.
Personal observations: I like this image. I voted it a 9. So it is hard for me to come up with ideas for improvement. Simply put, this is not the eye candy that DPC voters seem to love. But, it appears to me to be so much more. The more I look at the image, the more natural it seems for the dog's head to be up there. |
