hahahahahhahahahah!

Found a dead grass hopper in my flowers in the back of my house and immediately thought of this. I guess I'm a bit on the nuts side, yes.

DOF is too shallow in the front of the Ritz cracker, but it's not like I'm going to crack 5 anyways.

Intent: Hey that's a pretty cool comp ... wait ... what the ... aaahhh groooossssss! I hope I achieved it.

Cheers,

Jacko.

Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro. 2 umbrellas and flashes (550EX, 420EX, and ST-E2 wireless transmittor).

:-). Not many humerous ones so far in this challenge, this gaveme a grin.. Great idea... A little soft on the focus on the front of the cracker, but otherwise neat.. 8

yummy....very cool idea...some harsh light on the butter (I think its butter) but still really good.

Wonderfully imaginative. I guess the idea was to focus the camera and the viewer's attention on the insect legs. I wonder if the picture would have been stronger if the cracker was also in focus. Did you try it with the craker in sharp focus?

Hmmmm, a week late, but it works here too.

Great picture, but wouldn't it have fit the "wacky foods" challenge better?

was this a 'wacky foods' outtake? hehe.. if so, it still works well here.

Oh, yum... Well executed of course. Funny and original. Only thing that would make it funnier, would be if there was a bite out of the cracker. 8

Great originality!! (a bit gross? Maybe...) But a good shot nonetheless :-) Will most likely do very well. Technically, a very well taken shot. Flawless background, good lighting and good clarity of the subject. Pretty funny!! and to answer the question in your title, Thanks but NO THANKS!! ;-) 9

there are some definately icky parts in there! I'd like to see a more even DoF that includes the front of the cracker.

I like it. Gross, simple, and at first glance you don't have a clue what you're looking at. :)

Man... where were you for the "wacky food" comp.?

Wonderful...could be centered just a tiny bit better...if this is full frame, then it would have had to be done compositionally in-camera, but otherwise just make the cropping a little more even by adding more to the left side. Makes me laugh so much...what kind of cheese is that?
