Looks can be deceiving. This is my daughter's red ear slider turtle named Dread Pirate Turtlemopp because he only has one eye. He's a tough old turtle, actually started coming after the camera at one point, LOL! I don't honestly consider him domesticated as he will bite you just as soon as look at you, ask Melissa and her nose. And he is rarely handled, only when moving him from the outside tub to the indoor tote and vis versa for the changing of the seasons. For those who think I cheated by using my daughter's turtle, that's your opinion, I consider Turtlemopp as wild as the next turtle that lives in the wild and the only reason he hasn't been released back to the wild is that he is missing one eye and would probably not survive very long, though he did kill his two hatch mates and is king of the tub with the other two turtles.

Took several shots of him in the backyard, this one looked best.
