First, Thanks to Nancy for the opportunity. I appreciate the practice and the creative liberty.

Here are the steps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

First I added some space to the left and cloned the wall. I need more practice. I covered up the sloppy clone job the best I could. I would have preferred a sharper background, but it works for the mood / tone of the pose.

Then in RAW I juiced up the light and created a second copy. I brought each copy into Photoshop and place the darker layer on the lighter one. Then I erased the the dark layer where I wanted the light to shine through. (like your face, etc.)

Then I used Gaussian blur to create the depth between her and the wall while erasing her and the chair from the blur.

Added a small lens flare on the left side.

Added a gradient filter

added a blue tone filter

Sharpen

I like the cyanotype feel and perfect use of space.

Good work as usual Jeff! The shot needed the space on the left for Nancy to look into. Very similar to your editing challenge entry .

I like!!

I really like the added space to the left, don't know if I would have ever thought of that.

The blue tone works so well here, really nice.

I adore this. :) You took what was in my head and executed it for me. Brilliant.

Thanks for detailing the steps. In her original I wished for a bit more light on her face. I had noticed on some of yours you looked like you added some blur -- I will have to experiment with that anding gradients (two things I do not do much). A solid image that you were able to enhance nicely.
