Challenge: Environmental Portrait III (Advanced Editing VII)
Camera: Sigma DP3 Merrill
Location: Plymouth Hoe
Date: Jan 11, 2014
Aperture: f16
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/100
Date Uploaded: Jan 11, 2014

A chance juxtaposition whilst shooting shadows I thought it fit the bill quite well. Cropped and converted to mono with SFX.
I wanted to clone out the posts and part person but the rules left me confused whether this is permissible?

Grab those opportunities. Few and far between. Nicely done.

Pretty sweet. Love long shadows, and love the agreeing shapes. So many things line up serendipitously or by design perfectly. Wonderful piece of art.

Really nice framing! The contrasting footwear, text on the bag, and the vertical line from pole to shadow of the leg make this very engaging.

This certainly is an interesting take on the challenge. It seems too much of a stretch for me. For me, a portrait needs a clear subject (and for environmental, the subject needs to be defined by the environment). For example, if this was on a hiking trail, then the hiking boots would define the front pair of legs as the subject and be the subject's defining feature.

Still, this is an interesting angle and an interesting piece of art. Not too much appealing to me (I wouldn't put this up on my wall), but interesting.
