| I'm betting your score on this one suffered mostly from the lack of a clear subject. Focus, color and composition are fine, but there are four or five major elements competing for attention and the result is visual clutter. Worse, each of those elements is a 'whole' thing in a Parts challenge. The high-scoring entries in this challenge all portrayed a section of one or two dominant objects. The compositions are simple, and I don't think there was a 'whole' object anywhere among the top 38 entries. |

| I think technique was good in this shot. It was just one of the shots in this massive challenge that I just sailed right over. Nothing really caught my eye but I noticed the good focus and and least some thought of composition so I gave it a 6. If it had been more interesting to me I would have rated it higher. Unfortunately in this challenge with 440 entries I didn't have time to really give this photo the consideration it was due. If I had to do it over I would probably give it between a 6 and 7 depending on if I had my afternoon caffeine. |
