 This is part of the dome of the Providence, RI State house. I remember reading somewhere that the dome is the second largest of its kind in the world behind one in the Vatican somewhere. Hmmm... little states with big state houses, maybe RI is trying to compensate for something.

Circular polarizer to deepen the sky. Levels and slight skew in PS to correct for barrel distortion. Color balance, sharpness and neat image.

Beautiful exposure - looks like it may be a polarized sky - which is very effective, no hint of glare from the granite. Excellent.

Beautifully clean image with nice composition.
The shadow areas give a feeling of depth to the picture which adds to it`s overall effectiveness.

Well done photo, and it does meet the challenge. It lacks WOW, however. Did you have the opportunity to catch the top of the larger dome and omit the smaller - or vice-versa?

This is very similar to something I did a while ago, but I didn't think about using it for this challenge. I like it. Very sharp.

Beautiful detail and colour. You did very well to pick this out from the whole scene. The sky really brings out the tones of the stone. The shadows are nice and deep and the highlights are not over exposed. Very well done.
