 To me these two 'figures' seem to be a parent and child trudging into a sandstorm. This is part of a detail on a platter with an abstract design in the glaze (made by my daughter). This particular segment is about an inch and three quarters high, or a little over four centimetres. The colour has been inverted and otherwise adjusted.

Definitely two figures, bent into the struggle. I suspect your color inversion helps in giving their faces rather than their clothing a skin tone. I can see the sand storm but would not have thought of it. Love the tones and abstraction here.

For some reason I see a large monkey and a shorter, but still large rodent, both wearing suits, flames licking up from around their feet. Regardless, cool stuff.

This is amazing! I can, of course, see the parent and child and the sandstorm... I love the story and that the platter was made by your daughter. I would hang this in my home in a heartbeat.
