 There is a park not too far from us with a row of lovely mature beech trees. A day with thick fog provided an opportunity to capture them in a slightly different way. The end of each branch and the main branches seem to remains more distinct against the fog, rather than collapsing from glorious 3-D reality into a messy 2-D image.

Abstract in feel, as #1 in this series, and lacking a "wow" factor but I think it has a quiet dignity, rather like the trees themselves.

Re: "glow". It's not all due to the fog. A little extra was added during processing.

Like a natural glamor glow filter :) I'd lose the bit in the very upper left corner though . . .

I think you were right to choose this. The fog allows the lines and shapes of the tree to be seen.

I'm starting to love shooting in the fog. Which is a good thing, because we get a lot of it here.

I love the softness of this, as though these trees may give some shelter and protective comfort in harsh clime.

To me this is more like a family feud tightly weaved - a sort of Capulets and Montagues
