Photo taken from the top of Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Looking towards the main shopping street in the city, Champs-Élysées, and the famous Ferris wheel.

It's quite amazing to stop for a minute and watch and listen to the traffic from this point (not to mention the rotary around the arc and it's I-don't-know-how-many-lanes). The traffic goes by like a nice song with a strong, jazzy rhythm, visually as well as musically. Every car has it's role, some like to stay low profile while others contribute with a lengthy solo.

Shot in jpeg. B&W conversion in LR as well as some contrast adjustments. Exported from LR.

Thanks moriuca. The view from the top is really something else.

Perfect title for this busily syncopated photo -- the cars -- and the more sedate rhythms of the symmetric lines of buildings and streetlamps. Very enjoyable viewing. Black and white choice only emphasizes the rhythms. Excellent.

Wow, with the wheel at the end, that is cool.

Finding a hythm out of chaos when viewed from far away. Works very well. The circle at the end is a great item to have at the vanishing point. Your horizon has a tiltl.

Has a real "classic" feel to it. It's a classic scene, obviously, but I think your hands-off editing helps this as well. It's not squashed by overcooking, and even the crooked horizon adds a casual "realness" to it.

I've been atop the Arc many times and you can certainly feel and see the rhythm. Lights change, cars race, the roundabout fills and empties, arteries clog and release. It's pretty amazing.

I always enjoy topographic images with people. This is no exception but the toning seems a little flat. Still a very interesting shot with the carnival wheel in the distance.
